For the past 33 years, “The Phantom of the Opera” has had a home at the Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End. Recently, it was reported that the long running hit musical would be closing permanently.
The Phantom will go on…once the current lockdown protocols for the Covid-19 virus have been lifted and the Theatre has undergone some badly needed repairs and restorations.
Once the all clear has been given and the restorations have been completed, “The Phantom” will return.
The London productions of “Hamilton”, “Les Miserables”, and “Mary Poppins” will all remain closed through the endo the year. With the continued uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 virus and social distancing protocols, several of the theatres in the West End will remain closed; despite the West End being allowed to pen on August 2.

I don’t even know yet when Broadway will open again- even though know it is dark until 2021. I really want to know when Charlotte’s Blumenthal Performing Arts will open its two biggest theaters- Belk and Ovens. Belk and Ovens are the two theaters musicals tour.
Already had to put with two musical postponements: Anastasia and Frozen. The question is when will Blumenthal open again? I am hoping for Wicked: that is coming December 2020- which is staying until January. However what I want to happen the most isn’t coming until October 2021: Hadestown. Due to happening so far from now does give it a better chance of not getting postponed
