It has been a rough year for live concert events and theatrical productions.  First a global pandemic shut everything down for several months and then massive protests have caused numerous postponements of events that had gone from live to streaming.

The Drama Desk Awards celebrate the best of Broadway and Off Broadway.

The 65th annual awards gala originally scheduled for May was first postponed due to the corona virus and later moved online for a May 31 airing.

The presentation of the Drama Desk Awards has again been postponed due to protests surrounding racial injustice and Black Lives Matter protests.

The Drama Desk Awards are now scheduled to air on June 13 at 7:30pm via NY1.com and DramaDeskAwards.com.

Frank DiLella is set to host the virtual gala event.   Tituss Burgess, James Corden, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Beanie Feldstein, Santino Fontana, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jane Krakowski, Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, Cynthia Nixon, Ashley Park, Andrew Rannells, Ali Stroker, and Susan Stroman are all scheduled to appear at the festivities.

Along with the annual awards, the Drama Desk Awards are set to present the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award to Harold Prince.
