NASCAR team owner Richard Childress has been a part of racing for 50 years. In that time he has collected numerous wins and quite a collection of memorabilia. Now Childress is offering up some of that memorabilia at an auction on ebay to raise money for Covid-19 relief efforts from providing personal protection equipment to feeding children.

In the Xfinity Series, Childress is the owner of the number 21 car driven by Anthony Alfredo, Kaz Grala, and Myatt Snider. In the NASCAR Cup Series, he owns the number three car driven by grandson Austin Dillon and the number eight car driven by Tyler Reddick. Prior to his death in the 2001 Daytona 500, Childress was the car owner for Hall of Fame legend Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Among the list of items up for auction is one of the cars driven by Earnhardt. The number three Chevrolet is “complete with engine” and has been “impeccably preserved”. Up until now, Childress has never let go of any of his original Earnhardt cars.

Childress spoke on his decision saying, “I’ve grown my personal collection of memorabilia throughout my career in NASCAR and have enjoyed each of these items but it’s time to open it up to collectors and use the proceeds to support much needed causes during this unique time in history. From the Earnhardt years, to the Harvick years to our current drivers and beyond, there are items in this collection that will appeal to a variety of collectors. It’s so special to me to be able to share these exclusive items and give back to America at the same time. All proceeds will benefit charities and organizations who need our help right now to fight COVID-19.”

Items will be up for auction until the end of the month.

Other items up for the auction include a variety of replica die cast models of cars driven by Dale Earnhardt Sr, Kevin Harvick, a Clint Bowyer car, and even the Dale Jr Oreo car, Dale Sr and Jr Winner’s Circle action dolls from 1998, a Dale Earnhardt Goodwrench Racing track and train, a Kevin Harvick ET anniversary blanket, a Dale Earnhardt model car kit, a Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame diecast bank, a rare first off the line Dale Earnhardt Danytona 10th anniversary car, a Dale Earnhardt H.O. model train, and an ET anniversary interactive Gertie.

Many of the items are prototype models
