Since the closure of Broadway due to the Covid-19 virus and the ban on large crowds, artists have been looking for other ways to entertain fans.

Lord Andrew Lloyd Weber has created a You Tube channel – The Show Must Go On – where he is offering fans a free viewing of some of his musicals.

Previously, Weber has presented “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and most recently “Jesus Christ Superstar”. The next musical to be presented is the Royal Albert Hall performance of “Phantom of the Opera”.

Starring Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo, the musical will begin April 17 at 2pm eastern time. The musical will be available for free for 48 hours. The 2011 production was in celebration of Phantom’s 25th anniversary.

While Weber is offering the productions for free, viewers are encouraged to make a donation to aid a variety of organizations during the Covid-19 pandemic including Acting for Others, Broadway Cares, and the Actors Benevolent Fund.
