Bass player, singer, and songwriter Nik West is about to release her second album “Moody” on April 1. Calling on her life and musical journey, West features a variety of genres on “Moody”. Funk music pioneer Larry Graham, Narada Michael Walden,Cindy Blackman-Santana, and Larissa Basillo all join West on the album.

This summer she will be touring with Lenny Kravitz.

But Kravitz isn’t the only big name star that West has shared the stage with. In her short career, she has worked with The Purple One himself – Prince, Quincy Jones, the Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, John Mayer, Sugarland, Macy Gray, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, and Orianthi.

Referred to as “a Gumby on stage”, West isn’t one for standing still when she performs, West dances around the stage as she sings and plays the bass. Her performance of “Back in Black” originally by AC/DC has made big fans out of Lenny Kravitz and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.
