The Xfinity Series closes out the west coast swing with the LS Tractor 200 from Phoenix Raceway.

With short track rules in play on the one mile track, the drivers get two laps to make their fastest time to qualify for the race in just a few hours.

NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch will be running the first of his five Xfinity Series races as he tries to notch win number 12 at Phoenix Raceway. Fellow NASCAR Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski will start in fourth place.

Thirty nine teams have brought cars to fill 36 spots in the starting grid.

With a qualifying time of 26.86, Kyle Busch put his number 54 Twix car on the pole and will lead the field to green with Austin Cindric starting alongside on the front row.

Colby Howard and Kody Vanderwal will be making their Xfinity Series debuts in the race.

After the 39 cars qualified JJ Yeley, Matt Mills, and Bayley Currey all failed to qualify for the race.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the one mile track.

Lap 21, Kyle Busch holds on to his half second lead on Austin Cindric; but he has encountered slower traffic.

Lap 25, Kyle Busch continues to lead the race with Austin Cindric a half second back; Ross Chastain, Justin Allgaier, and Brad Keselowski round out the top five.

Daniel Hemric in the number eight car is reporting a very loose condition.

Ray Black Jr brings out the first caution flag of the race when he gets loose and into the wall in a single car incident on lap 32. Black had to start the race from the back of the field after the team made some unapproved adjustments between qualifying and race start.

Lap 43, there are 27 cars on the lead lap with all 36 drivers still on the track.

On the final lap of stage one; Justin Allgaier has a lead of over half a second on Ross Chastain.

Ross Chastain had to bring his car down pit road before it was open due to a power steering issue that had smoke coming into his cockpit.

Lap 188, Brandon Jones has a lead of a second and a half on Kyle Busch with Harrison Burton in third on Busch’s bumper.

Lap 189, Harrison Burton gets around Kyle Busch for second place and a Joe Gibbs Racing 1 – 2 – 3.

Going back to back in the Xfinity Series, Joe Gibbs Racing wins the LS Tractor 200 with Brandon Jones; Harrison Burton (last week’s winner), and Kyle Busch in third give Coach Gibbs a 1-2-3. This is the 500th NASCAR win for Toyota.
