For the first time in Olympic history, Mattel is creating a collection of Olympic themed toys to help celebrate the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Featuring inclusivity and innovation, the new toys products with Barbie, Hot Wheels, and UNO. Coming out this spring, the toys will be available as an international product line. The toys will also reflect the new sporting events for the 2020 Olympics – baseball, softball, sport climbing, karate, skateboarding, and surfing.

Speaking on the new toys, Managing Director of IOC Television and Marketing Services Timo Lumme said, “in line with our Global Licensing Strategy, this new international licensing collaboration with Mattel is a great way to engage with an important audience, our younger fans and their families, and through these high-quality products to connect them with the Olympic brand and values.”

In real Barbie fashion, she embodies all of the new sporting events.

The new Hot Wheels collection features the sports of the Olympics from the original sporting events of Athens to the newest additions to the Games. There are two cars in the collection that feature the Toyota Tundra and the Toyota 2000 GT.

The National Toy Hall of Fame game UNO will get a new edition featuring Miraitowa – the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games mascot. The limited edition set will include a unique design and a new special rule to the game.
