While the temperatures were too cold for the shelter animals from the SPCA to attend, the old and threat of snow did not deter the crowds that filled the walkway between Third and Fourth Streets leading to the recently renovated entry to the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino.

The festivities began with the singing of a couple of Christmas Carols – “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman” with Seneca Gaming Corporation CEO and President Holly Gagnon and Advertising and Publicity Manager Nadine DiStefano leading the way. With the singing as a backdrop; Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rex the Buffalo Bandits mascot, Sabertooth the Buffalo Sabers mascot, and a Spiderman ready for the slopes met with fans and posed for photos.

Holly Gagnon and Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino General Manager Pat Bassney greeted the crowd and wished them a Merry Christmas.

And then it was time for the big event – lighting the big tree topped with a giant feather!

Award winning performer Vanessa Williams closed out the night’s events with a performance of “What Child is This”, “Star Bright”, and “Silent Night” before heading back inside the Casino to prepare for her percormance in the Bear’s Den Showroom.
