The 2019 NASCAR racing season is over but the annual Silly Season continues as team owners sign and replace drivers.
The newest addition to the driving roster is young driver Quin Houff who made his Monster Energy Cup Series in 2018 when he made 17 starts Between Spire Motorsports and Premium Motorsports.
StarCom Racing has signed Houff for the next two seasons to driver the Monster Cup number 00 car.
Landon Cassill drove the 00 car last season. StarCom Racing noted that they have a commitment to Cassill in the 2020 season and plan to honour that commitment in other ways as he steps away from his driving duties. Saying that they appreciate the contributions made by Landon Cassill, StarCom will define Cassill’s future duties at a later date.
Landon Cassill also drove in 17 races for Johnny Davis and Morgan Shepherd in the Xfinity Series during the 2019 racing season.
The 2020 racing season will be the third full time season for StarCom Racing. Team manager for StarCom Derrike Cope said via a press release, “I am pleased to have young and passionate driver, Quin Houff, to continue his progression in the NASCAR Cup Series. He is a delightful, quick-witted young man that is eager to finally showcase his talents and race in his first Daytona 500!”
