The annual festival at Glastonbury in the United Kingdom is a very popular destination for music fans. The tickets sell out within minutes of going on sale…long before the performers are even booked.

Fans attending the festival in 2020 will not only help to celebrate 50 years of fabulous music, they will get to see a musical icon performing in the headline spot on June 27.

Glastonbury officials have announced that Sir Paul McCartney has been booked for the summer music festival next June.

It has been over 15 years since Sir Paul last performed at the famed festival at Worthy Farms.

Sir Paul has been making music for over 50 years; first with The Beatles, then with his band Wings, and as a solo artist. He is also a part of an avant garde group called the Firemen.

The 2020 Glastonbury Music Festival runs June 24-28.
