Each year the NASCAR season begins in Daytona with Speedweeks; but before NASCAR takes to the track, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona endurance race.
Over the years several of the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series have participated in the 24 hour endurance race including Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr, Juan Pablo Montoya, AJ Allmendinger, Jeff Gordon, Paul Menard, Mark Martin, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, and big brother Kurt Busch.
In 2017, Jeff Gordon along with team mates Jordan Taylor, Ricky Taylor and Max Angelelli won the race and took home a Rolex watch.
The latest NASCAR driver that will be climbing behind the wheel for a run around the road course at Daytona will be Rowdy himself – Kyle Bsuch. The Candy Man will be making his MSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut in the 2020 race driving a Lexus RC F GT3 car for AIM Vasser Sullivan.
To help him get ready for the big race, Kyle will be running in the Roar Before the Rolex 24 January 3 to 5.
The 2020 Rolex 24 hours of Daytona will be held January 25 and 26.
