Throughout the history of the United States, people have come from every corner of the world and brought their culture, language, and music with them. In a celebration of culture and music, the Hatian band Lakou Mizik has released “HaitiaNola” – an album of music that combines the rich roots of Haiti’s island nation and the cultural melting of the the south known as New Orleans.

The 14 track album is filled not with just the music, but a number of musical guests as well including Trombone Shorty, Tank of Tank and The Bangas, Win Butler and Regine Chassagne from Arcade Fire, Cyril Neville, Jon Cleary, Leyla McCalla, The Soul Rebels, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, 79ers Gang, Raja Kassis, King James, Anders Osborne, and the Preservation Jazz Hall Band.

In New Orleans they say “laissez les bon temps roulez” (let the good times roll) and “HaitiNola” does just that with feel good sounds and rhythms.
