Lat week on “Dancing with the Stars” the couples danced to the music from Disney movies and no one went home.

This week it’s the halfway point of the season and the nine couples return to try and dance their way to next week and the annual Halloween show.

Getting the night of dancing started, Ally Brooke and Sasha dance a Quickstep to the Aha hit “Take on Me”. Sasha brought Ally’s mom to rehearsals for a visit. Len called the dance first class with a nice group of steps. Bruno noted that the dance was full of energy but she lost synchronicity because of the speed. Carrie Ann loved the content and called it a great concept. Last week Ally and Sasha topped the leader board, can they repeat the feat this week? Ally and Sasha scored 25 points for their dance.

Next up are Kate and Pasha dance a Viennese Waltz to “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston. Bruno loved the dance; adding that it was in the best possible taste. Carrie Ann said that it felt like the most victorious Viennese Waltz ever. A happy Len saw a step that he rarely sees; adding that it was a great performance. Kate and Pasha scored 27 points for their dance.

Kel and Witney dance a Quickstep to Stevie Wonder’s “Part Time Lover”. Witney brought in a little help for a game of dodge ball to help Kel work on his footwork. Carrie Ann noted that the duo was so in sync; adding that the dance was ridiculously amazing. Len thought the routine was terrific; adding that they did an amazing job. Bruno called Kel a full time dancer; adding that he did some excellent work. Kel and Witney scored 26 points for their dance.

Karamo and Jenna dance a Contemporary routine to “Someone to Love”. Making his first trip to California, Karamo’s dad is in the audience. Len called the dance fluid with great lifts; adding that it was a well constructed dance. Bruno noted that Karamo had focus tonight with strength and fluidity. Carrie Ann said that she felt love and passion from the dance. Karamo and Jenna scored 25 points for their dance with his best scores of the season.

The pro dancers give a sneak peak of what’s to come when they go on tour later this year.

Hannah and Alan dance a Samba to the Carrie Underwood song “Southbound”. Homesick for Alabama, Hannah got a visit from her parents during rehearsals this week. Bruno said that Hannah brought Brazil to Nashville; adding at time she dances to high and looses the rhythm. Calling Hannah a phenomenal dancer, Carrie Ann agreed with Bruno about the rhythm. Len noted that the dance was full of content and liked the flair. Hannah and Alan scored 24 points for their dance.

Sailor and Val dance a Jive and to get her ready, Val takes her out on the streets of Los Angeles to perform the dance. The duo dance to the music of What and “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”. Carrie Ann called the dance amazing and so much fun. Len called the dance full of flavour; noting that Val seems to be enjoying himself. Bruno said that it was a great Jive. Sailor and Val earned 27 points for their dance.

Sean and Lindsay dance a Viennese Waltz to the Queen song “Somebody to Love”. At the end of the dance Sean gave a bouquet of flowers to his wife. Len praised Sean for giving it his all every week. Bruno called it a very brave attempt at a difficult dance. Carrie Ann said that there was a nice tenderness to the dance; adding that the audience loves him. Sean and Lindsay scored 21 points for their dance; it is their highest score so far.

James and Emma dance a Samba to some Electron Dance Music by Diplo and Major Lazer. The audience was so loud that you could not hear Bruno. Moving as he talked Bruno loved the dance. Carrie Ann called the dance ridiculously awesome. Len said, “tutti fruity what a booty,” adding that it was a really good Samba. James and Emma scored 27 points for their dance; that is the couple’s highest score so far.

Finishing out the night is an emotional Lauren dances a Contemporary routine with Gleb to her own song “The Other Side” in honour of the anniversary of her step father’s death. Lauren’s mom came to California to visit Lauren and see the dance live. Lauren and her mom embrace after the dance. Gleb has to pull her away to come back on stage. Carrie Ann called Lauren a brave women; adding that she touched all of their hearts tonight and it was beautiful. Len echoed what Carrie Ann said; adding that the dance was worthy of her step father. Noting that it was sad, Bruno said he was happy to see so much love and honesty. Lauren and Gleb scored 26 point for their dance.

Ally and Sasha and Sailor and Val are in the bottom two and in jeopardy of going home.

Saying that she is shocked at the results, Carrie Ann chose to save Ally and Sasha

Saying that it is incredible and a position he didn’t want to be in, Bruno chose to save Ally and Sasha.

Tom Bergeron noted that it is a complete shock. Val spoke on how proud he was of Sailor as she stood crying over the results.
