The Strong Museum in Rochester, New York is far more than just a collection of artifacts and exhibits geared toward the younger generation, it is a place that encourages discovery and learning through play for all children. The Museum even offers special sensory days where the lighting is softer and the building is quieter for those children with high sensory issues.

Recently The Strong announced a new initiative to aid people who have been diagnosed in the Autism Spectrum by teaching them job skills.

On August 22 The Strong will present a dance performance from A Moving Experience from Arc of Monroe. The diverse group of dancers is a modern dance troupe comprised of adults attending the Community Arts Connection program.

The performance begins at noon and is part of the troupe’s 25th anniversary.

Museum entrance fees of $16 for anyone over the age of two or free to members and children under the age of two are required to attend the dance performance.
