In celebration of the 30th anniversary release of “Sonic Temple”, The Cult is releasing the album in a variety of formats; each unique in its own way.

Along with the album re-release on September 13, the band will be making a short tour around the United Kingdom.

The Cult have planned a boxed set, a CD set, a double LP, and a digital version for release.

The boxed set will feature vinyl and cassette, memorabilia and other items related to the album, and previously unreleased music. The set has been limited to a total of 3,000 worldwide copies.

Each numbered set includes a total of 40 tracks on three LP’s and a cassette tape. Along with the album, the third LP is a live performance in Wembley Stadium. Memorabilia and such includes a backstage pass and press releases.

For those fans who just want the music there is a five CD set featuring the album and lots of alternate and extended versions of the songs. The CD set also includes the Wembley performance for a total of 53 tracks.

For retro fans there is a revamped version of the original album on two discs. The original album has been out of print for over 20 years.

And for the computer age, there is a 43 track digital release that features all the alternate and extended tracks from the CD set along with the live performance but does not include the original “Sonic Temple” album.
