For the second week in a row, the third place finisher in the Xfinity Series race had his car disqualified after failing the post race inspection process.
After the race at Chicagoland last week, Christopher Bell’s finish was disqualified after NASCAR determined that there was an issue with the ride height limit.
And in the early morning hours of July 6 after a extended rain delay, NASCAR completed post race inspection for the Xfinity Series Circle K Firecracker 250 and determined that after Kaulig Racing finished one-two-three, the third place number 10 car driven by AJ Allmendinger was disqualified after NASCAR found a discrepancy with the engine.
As a result of the disqualifications Christopher Bell and AJ Allmendinger were relegated to the last place position.
There was no indication as to whether any further penalties will be forthcoming for the number 10 car.
