After the races at Chicagoland Speedway this past weekend, the winning drivers in all three series – Gander Outdoors Truck, Xfinity, and Monster Energy Cup – the winning vehicles passed post race inspection; however two race teams were found to have one of their lug nuts improperly secured during the inspection process.

In the Xfinity Series, the number 00 Stewart-Haas Racing car driven by Cole Custer had one unsecured lug nut; as a result, crew chief Mike Shiplett was fined $5,000.

In the Monster Energy Cup Series, the number eleven Joe Gibbs Racing car driven by Denny Hamlin also had an unsecured lug nut and crew chief Chris Gabehart was fined $10,000.

This weekend the teams return to the track where it all began – Daytona – for some night racing in the annual Independence Day races.
