In part two of a triple header weekend, the Xfinity Series comes to Chicagoland Speedway for the Camping World 300.
After single car qualifying, in his first Xfinity Series race of 2019, Monster Energy Cup Series driver Joey Logano won the pole with a time of 30.41 seconds and will lead the field to the green flag.
After making unapproved adjustments after qualifying, Chase Briscoe has to start the race from the back of the field.
Chicago is best known as the “Windy City” but this weekend it’s hot and the track is slick.
Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 110 laps for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track.
Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with Cole Custer starting alongside on the front row. Joey Logano edges out in front of Cole Custer to take the lead and lead the first lap.
Lap three, Cole Custer passes Joey Logano to take the lead. Tyler Reddick has already found the top of the track…and some clean air.
Lap eight, Cole Custer has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Joey Logano.
Joey Logano has picked up some debris on his grille – it appears to be a tear off from another car – but letting Justin Allgaier pass him and closing in on Allgaier’s bumper, the tear off is gone.
The first caution flag of the race comes out after Justin Allgaier gets loose on the track and spins out. After coming down pit road for fresh tires, Justin Allgaier will restart the race from the back of the field in 31st.
Cole Custer brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 16, but Joey Logano jumps out in front for the lead.
Lap 20, Cole Custer gets past Joey Logano for the lead but Custer doesn’t pull away immediately; the two swap the lead before Custer finally gets out in front.
Lap 23, Justin Allgaier has made back into the top 10 after restarting in 31st place.
Lap 24, Cole Custer has a half second lead on Joey Logano with Christopher Bell in third and Tyler Reddick in fourth.
Lap 31, Cole Custer has pulled out to a second and a half lead on Tyler Reddick.
Lap 35, Tyler Reddick has closed to within a second of leader Cole Custer. There are 32 cars on the lead lap.
Ten to go in stage one, Cole Custer has a three quarters of a second lead on Tyler Reddick with Christopher Bell in third.
Lap 40, the “Big Three” occupy the first three spots with Cole Custer in the lead; followed by Tyler Reddick and Christopher Bell.
Three laps remain in stage one, Cole Custer leads the way with Tyler Reddick just over half a second behind.
Cole Custer wins stage one for his sixth stage win of the season.

Lap 61, Joey Logano has closed the gap to leader Cole Custer to under a second; there are 24 cars on the lead lap.
Lap 72, Cole Custer has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Joey Logano.
Lap 74, Cole Custer’s lead is now a second and a half on Joey Logano.
The caution flag comes out on lap 78 when Ryan Sieg gets loose on the track and slides down the track.
Some of the drivers come down pit road for service…including leader Cole Custer.
Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 84, Logano and Christopher Bell go nose to nose before Logano finally gets out in front as drivers get three wide across the track.

Lap 110, Cole Custer has increased his lead to over half a second on Joey Logano.
Lap 111, Ryan Sieg brings out the caution flag for a second time when he spins out.
After having to comne down pit road to replace a window, Austin Cindric is the lucky dog and is back on the lead lap.
Cole Custer wins the race off of pit road, but not all of the drivers came down pit road.
Brandon Jones was caught speeding on pit road.
Noah Gragson’s team was charged with having an uncontrolled tire on pit road.
After staying out on the track, Zane Smith and Jeffrey Earnhardt bring the field down for the green flag restart on lap 116. Cole Custer gets out in front for the lead with fresh tires.
Justin Allgaier gets into the wall but the track stays green. Allgaier has to make an unscheduled trip down pit road for fresh tires and repairs.
Lap 118, Cole Custer leads the race with Christopher Bell in second and Joey Logano in third.
Lap 120, Cole Custer has a lead of over a second and a half on Christopher Bell.
Lap 124, Joey Logano slaps the wall but the track stays green.
Lap 130, Justin Allgaier takes his car to the garage.
Lap 134, Cole Custer continues to lead the race with a second and a half lead on Christopher Bell.
Lap 138, Cole Custer now has a lead of nearly two seconds with 22 cars on the lead lap.
Lap 142, Cole Custer has pulled out to a lead of over two seconds on Christopher Bell.
Lap 149, the front four remain “the big three” and Joey Logano with Cole Custer leading the way; followed by Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick. Custer’s lead is now over three seconds on Christopher Bell.
Lap 152, drivers begin making green flag pit stops beginning with Joey Logano and Landon Cassill.
Lap 154, Cole Custer makes his pit stop, Michael Annett is the new leader.
Lap 159, Michael Annett has a one second lead on Riley Herbst. Once all of the drivers make their pit stops, Cole Custer will retake the lead.

Lap 163, Michael Annett has pulled out to a lead of nearly four seconds on Noah Gragson.
Lap 170, Michael Annett has pulled out to a lead of over five seconds on Noah Gragson with Cole Custer in third.
The caution flag comes out with 28 laps remaining in the race after BJ McLeod gets into the wall.

With only 12 laps to go, Tyler Reddick is reporting a possible tire issue.

Six to go, Cole Custer continues to dominate the race with a near three second lead on Joey Logano.
