After participating in a call and response with Native drummers, Thunderhand Joe and his band the Medicine Show kicked off a musical evening in the amphitheater stage for the first Strawberry Moon Festival at Artpark.

With the scenic Niagara River as a backdrop, Thunderhand Joe, Jamie, Jack, and Dennis helped to celebrate summer and the first fruit of the season – strawberries – with performances of original music and songs from the Native American band Redbone.

After opening the set with “Over and Over”, the band played “Shalaka Laka”, “I Believe”, “Jingle Dress”, “Wounded Knee” the Redbone songs “Little Girl” and “Message”, and “Love in the 1st Degree” before finishing out the set with the Redbone hit “Come and Get Your Love”.
