Closing out the annual block party on Memorial Day, Old Falls Street caught the “Boogie Fever” when the band Disco Duck took the stage.  It didn’t take long for the crowd to hit the dance floor for a trip to “Funkytown”, and get their “Boogie Oogie Oogie” on as Disco Duck “Played that Funky Music”.

After opening the show with the Kool and the Gang hit “Celebration”, the band kept the crowd hopping with great dance tunes from the Disco era including “Upside Down”, “Ladies Night”, “Hot Stuff”, “Heatwave”, “Groove Tonight”, “La Freak”, “Disco Inferno”, “Billie Jean”, “It’s Raining Men”, “Get Down Tonight”, “We are Family”, and “Last Dance”.

The night also featured dance contests and special guest performances including rock guitarist Jay Neubauer from That 80’s Hair Band.

Disco Duck provided a great night of fun and music in their final Old Falls Street performance.  It is unfortunate that at the end of the summer the band is breaking up when band leader and drummer Disco Dave is retiring.
