After the Monster Energy Cup Series race last weekend at the Kansas Speedway, NASCAR levied penalties on two teams for lug nut infractions.
Race winner Brad Keselowski passed all other aspects of the post race inspection process but his number two Team Penske car was found to have one of its lug nuts improperly secured. As a result of the infraction, crew chief Paul Wolfe was fined $10,000.
The number 77 Spire Motorsports car driven by Quin Houff was also found to have an improperly secured lug nut and crew chief Peter Sospenzo was also fined $10,000.
This week the teams travel home to North Carolina for the annual All Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
