With a quarter of the season already behind them, the Gander Outdoors Truck Series travels to Kansas Speedway for the Digital Ally 250 for race number seven of the season.
After single truck qualifying with a time of 30.459 seconds, Matt Crafton puts his number 88 truck on the pole and will bring the field to the green flag under the lights.
After hitting the wall during qualifying, Jennifer Jo Cobb will have to start the race from the back of the field in a backup truck. Cobb is one of three female drivers in the race; along with Natalie Decker and Angela Ruch.
Stages one and two of the race are 40 laps each with stage three lasting 87 laps for a total of 167 laps around the mile and a half track.
Matt Crafton brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane and goes nose to nose with Tyler Ankrum as the drivers get three and four wide across the track.

Lap eight, Stewart Friesen challenges Matt Crafton for the lead but so far, Crafton has held on to his lead.

Lap 21, Johnny Sauter is on the apron and trying to get to pit road with possible drive train or transmission issues. Sauter takes his truck to the garage. Since he has mechanical issues and not crash related issues, Sauter’s team will be allowed to work on the truck.
Brandon Jones brings out the first caution flag of the race on lap 25 when he gets loose and has a smoking truck going down the track.
Austin Wayne Self has also taken his truck to the garage with mechanical issues.
Stewart Friesen brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 28, but it is Brett Moffitt who gets out in front with Stewart Friesen challenging for the lead.
With nine laps remaining ins stage one, Stewart Friesen retakes the lead of the race.

Taking only two tires, Sheldon Creed wins the race off of pit road with Austin Hill coming out second, also taking only two tires.
Ben Rhodes was caught speeding on pit road and had to make a second visit down pit road.
Sheldon Creed brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 49 but it is Austin Hill who gets out in front first before battling back and forth with Sheldon Creed for the lead.
Lap 49, Grant Enfinger goes three wide to battle with the leaders for the lead. Sheldon Creed is in the lead with Grant Enfinger in second.
Lap 52, Ross Chastain takes the lead.
Lap 53, Natalie Decker brings out the caution flag after she gets loose and makes an off road excursion through the grass that even gets her airborne.
Sheldon Creed and Ross Chastain bring the field down for the green flag restart on lap 60 with Ross Chastain in the lead.
Sheldon Creed takes the lead but is quickly passed by Grant Enfinger with 17 trucks on the lead lap.

Ten to go, Stewart Friesen holds on to the lead as he looks for his first win but Ross Chastain is closing in.
Five to go, Stewart Friesen holds on to the lead. Friesen has the record of being the driver with the most second place spots without a race win.
Thee to go, Stewart Friesen is out of fuel and Ross Chastain takes over the lead with Ben Rhodes in second.

The Watermelon Man – Ross Chastain – scores his first win in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series at Kansas. Chastain has run all 27 of the NASCAR races in all three Series this season.
