Proving that there is more to be found in Nashville than Country music, grit-pop artist V Blackburn has released her second single from her upcoming EP “Public Figure” which is set for a June 28 release.

The single “A$AP Rocky” was indeed inspired by the rapper. Each of the songs on “Public Figure” is named for the celebrity who inspired it. The first single is titled “Jon Hamm”.

The idea for the album’s subject matter stemmed from a severe case of writer’s block and a challenge from friends.

The Miami native now calls Nashville her home. A child performer, V took to the pool as a talented swimmer and water polo player but a shoulder injury brought her back to music and a career as a songwriter and performer.

She has shared the stage with Hozier, Ages and Ages, and the Berklee Gospel and Roots Choir.
