On the final night of the qualifying rounds on “World of Dance” the dancers strive to impress and awe the judges in hopes of a score that will move them on to the next round.
The high school dance team MKAM get the night of dancing started off and earned a score of 89.7 for their routine.
Included in this week’s performers were some familiar faces from last season who returned as a part of a group.
On this final night of the qualifying round, 19 acts performed with six of them failing to make the minimum score of 85 points. The Vancouver, British Columbia all girl dance group Style and Grace barely scraped through with a score of 85; while six other acts made the cut with scores ranging from 85.7 to 88.
The reaming six acts scores ranged from 89.7 to over 95 points with the Los Angeles group Unity LA earning to top score of the night with 95.3 points.
While many of the dancers are looking to make their mark on the entertainment world, 21 year Cirque du Soleil dancer Derek Piquette is trying to hold on to his as long as possible before he must undergo a double hip replacement.
Next week the dual round begins where half of the acts will be eliminated.
