Awards season has begun and this year the Screen Actor’s Guild celebrates 25 years of honouring the best in acting. While the Golden Globe Awards are determined by the foreign press and the Academy Awards are determined by the academy members; the Screen Actor’s Guild Award winners are determined by the fellow actors themselves.

Megan Mullally is hosting this year’s gala event.

Alec Baldwin presented the first award of the evening for Best Actor in a Comedy Series to Tonly Shalhoub for his role in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.

The award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series went to Rachel Brosnahan for her role in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.

The award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series went to the acting ensemble of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.

The award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Film went to Emily Blunt for her role in “A Quiet Place”. This was her first SAG Award win.

The award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Film went to Mahershala Ali for his role in “Green Book”.

The award for Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries goes to Darren Criss for his role in “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story”. This was Criss’s first SAG win.

The award for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries went to Patricia Arquette for her role in “Escape at Dannemora”.

Tom Hanks presents the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award to award winning actor Alan Alda.

The award for Best Actor in a Television Drama Series went to Jason Bateman for his role in “Ozark”. This is Bateman’s first SAG Award.

The award for Best Actress in a Television Drama Series went to Sandra Oh for her role in “Killing Eve”.

Scott Bakula presented the In Memoriam sgemant, remembering those who have died in the past year.

The award for Best Ensemble in a Television Drama Series went to the ensemble of “This is Us”.

The award for Best Actor in a Leading Film Role went to Rami Malek for his role as Freedie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody”. This is Malek’s first SAG win.

The award for Best Actress in a Leading Film Role went to Glen Close for her role in “The Wife”.

Jodie Foster presents the final award of the night for Best Cast in a Motion Picture to the cast of “Black Panther”.
