Season one of “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” has reached the grand finale and after no one was eliminated last week, four couples will compete for the Mirror ball trophy and the title of the first champions. For the juniors the mirror ball has been turned into a star.

This week the couples will have to perform two dances including the ever popular no rules Freestyle.

All of the eliminated couples return, the mentors, hosts, and judges all come together for the holiday themed opening number choreographed by award winning choreographer and judge Mandy Moore.

For their first dance the couples will have to dance a repeat of a dance they have already performed but this time they will be dancing with their mentors.

First up is Mackenie Ziegler and Sage with Gleb for a Cha Cha. Host Jordan Fisher said that was the way to kick off the show. Mandy called it one of her favourite dances from them; adding that it was a great way to start the show. Noting that Mackenzie is a different girl from the beginning of the season, Adam said that there was a fire behind Mackenzie’s eyes; adding that was how you start a finale. Val said that Mackenzie shined in that Cha Cha. Mackenzie and Sage scored 28 points for their dance.

Ariana and Artyon performed their Hip-Hop styled Jazz dance with mentor Brandon. Saying that Ariana is right on track, Adam called the dance incredible. Val had one word for the dance – iconic; adding that people will talk about that dance for a long time to come. Saying that she loves the team, Mandy noted that they have been magic from day one; adding that Artyon has some great partnering skills. The duo earned a perfect score of 30 for their dance.

Miles and Rylee danced a Salsa to “Who Let the Dogs Out” with mentor Lindsay. Jordan noted that the dance was fun. Val simply said that they did an awesome job. Calling Miles electric, Mandy said that Lindsay has done such an incredible job with the dancers. Noting that it was so cool to see them reprise their week one danc,e Adam said that Miles has grown so much. The duo scored 28 points for their dance.

Finishing out round one, Sky and JT performed a Salsa with mentor Alan. Mandy noted that Sky embodies what the show is about and Adam noted that Sky has grown the most out of anyone on the show. Val agreed with both of his fellow coaches. Sky and JT earned a perfect score of 30 for their dance.

For the Freestyle round, there is only one rule…the dance must depict the spirit of the season. Each of the couples performed to Christmas songs.

Mackenzie and Sage got the round started with a Hip-Hop dance to Justin Bieber’s “Drummer Boy”. As the crowd was screaming, Jordan said that he didn’t know what to say. Saying that she loved it, Mandy called the dance incredible and flawless. Adam stood up and yelled “YES!”. Val said it was what a Freestyle should be like; adding that Mackenzie was at her best from all season The duo earned their first perfect score of the season for their Freestyle.

Ariana and Artyon chose to do a little storytelling with the Freestyle to “You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch”. Jordan said that they did a great job. Adam said that they showed everybody why they are so much fun. Saying that the dance was so much fun, Val noted that it was a perfect dance for Ariana. Mandy said that the dance was very well choreographed and creative; adding that Ariana is a star.

Miles and Rylee danced to a funky version of “Sleigh Ride”. Jordan noted that the dance had a little bit of everything in it. Van said that the only thing more exceptional than the performance was the impact that Miles has had by being on the show for his generation; especially the boys. Mandy said that Miles has the mark of a true performer; adding that he is such a oy to watch. Noting that everyone in the house was screaming at the top of their lungs, Adam called Miles a superstar. Miles and Rylee earned a perfect score for their dance.

Closing out the night…and the season…Sky and JT performed a beach and surfer themed Freestyle to Kelly Clarkson’s “Underneath the Tree”. Saying that they did an excellent job, Mandy said that she loves that Sky does what she says. Adam noted that Sky really epitomizes what the show is all about; adding that Sky is a hero to a lot of little girls. Val noted that it wasn’t about how you dance but about your heart. Sky and JT earned a perfect score for their Freestyle and the night.

In the final results, after the judges scores for this week and last week along with the audience votes for the past two weeks, Jordan Fisher named Sky and JT as the winners of the show and the new specially designed star trophy.
