The premiere season of “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” has reached the semi finals and only four couples remain – Ariana and Artyon, Sky and JT, Mackenzie and Sage, and Miles and Rylee – to dance it our for the Junior Mirror Bal trophy.

First up is Mackenzie and Sage with a Paso Doble to the Lady Gaga hit “Edge of Glory”. Host Jordan Fisher called the routine to the “Edge of Glory” and beyond. Calling the performance unreal, Mandy said that Mackenzie was in control; adding that she loved the dance. Adam noted that in the past, they thought Mackenzie was holding back but tonight was completely different. Calling the dance incredible, Val said that Mackenzie set the tone and held her own. Earning their first 10 of the season, Mackenzie and Sage earned a perfect score of 30 for their dance.

Sky and JT danced an Argentine Tango to “Thunder” by Imagine Dragons. Noting that one of the most important parts of the dance is partnership, Adam said that Sky and JT have the best chemistry in the competition; adding that they killed it tonight. Val noted that it was a very tough routine. Mandy said that every week they dive into what ever style they are given 100 percent; adding that they got some great coaching from Alan. Mandy noted that Sky had some great footwork on the floor but lacked a little in the lifts. Sky and JT scored 29 points for their dance.

Miles and Rylee had an interesting week as they prepared for their Cha Cha to the music of Pitbull. This past week Miles was on the set of”black-ish” filming and had to learn his routines via video. He and Rylee danced together for the first time in dress rehearsals. Saying that Miles Brown looked like James Brown there for a bit, Val said that the dance had the most power he had ever seen in a Cha Cha. Mandy said that she loves watching Miles dance because such a joy comes out of his body every time he dances. Noting that Miles brings out such an energy every time he performs, Adam said that Miles was born to perform. Miles and Rylee scored 28 points for their dance.

In the final dance of round one, Ariana and Artyon performed a Foxtrot to the music of “High School Musical”. Jordan said that they got it together for sure. Noting that the couples were making it difficult for them tonight, Mandy said that the dance had class, elegance, focus from Ariana, and was gorgeous. Adam said that Ariana came out and blew it out of the water. Noting that he wished his school looked like that, Val called Ariana the coolest kid in school who did an awesome job. Ariana and Artyon scored 28 points for their dance.

Mackenzie and Sage – 30

In round two the four couples are divided into two teams – Mackenzie, Sage, Miles and Rylee and Sky, JT, Ariana and Artyon. They must perform a fusion dance with two different styles.

Mackenie, Sage, Miles, and Rylee performed a Jazz Samba fusion to the Miley Cyrus hit “Party in the USA” that brought rousing cheers from the crowd and the judges to their feet. Mandy said that she has been waiting for that routine all season long; adding that it was incredible and clean from beginning to end. Adam noted that Mackenzie is having a night but Miles carried the most power in the dance. Agreeing with his fellow judges, Val called it the best performance of the season; adding that it was simply awesome fun dancing. The team earned a perfect score for their dance.

Ariana, Artyon, Sky, and JT performed Jive Foxtrot. Adam noted that the pairing was all about teamwork. Calling the team a hit show in the making, Val said that the level of difficulty in the dance was out of this world and they conquered the challenge. Saying that the dance was full of wow moments, Mandy noted that there were a few timing issues. The team scored 28 points for their dance.

After the studio audience cast their votes, Jordan revealed that there was no one going home this week. All scores and votes will be combined with the votes and scores from next week to determine the winner.

Next week the couples will perform a freestyle dance and their mentors will join them on the dance floor when the entire cast returns for a holiday themed finale.
