It was a night of celebration, not just the birthdays and weddings; but a celebration of music when western New York rockers 1980 Something performed at the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls, New York on September 29.

The rousing crowd was ready to rock even as the band made their soundcheck.

As the name implies, the band played predominantly music from the rock bands of the ’80’s with a couple of ’90’s tunes thrown in.

The area in front of the stage was cleared and made ready for dancing and patrons kept the floor filled all night long.

Ed, Jon, Kevin, and Johnny started the night of music off with the appropriate tune “Working for the Weekend” by Loverboy.

From there the band channeled Judas Priest, Journey, Eddie Money, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Ozzy Osbourne, Twitsted Sister, Alice in Chains, Candlebox, Poison, Def Leppard, Europe, Tesla, Night Ranger, Whitesnake, AC/DC, Guns ‘N’ Roses, John Mellencamp, Billy Idol and Metallica on their first visit to the Hard Rock Cafe.

With songs like “Livin’ After Midnight”, “Any Way You Want it”, “Lovin’ Touchin’, Squeezin’”, Two Tickets to Paradise, Home Sweet Home, You Give Love a Bad Name”, “Crazy Train”, “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, “Man in the Box”, “Far Behind”, “Talk Dirty to Me”, “Nothin’ but a Good Time”, “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, “Final Countdown”, “Love Song”, “Separate Ways”, “Faithfully”, “Sister Christian”, “Here I Go Again”, “Highway to Hell”, “Sweet Child of Mine”, “Summer of ’69”, “Rebel Yell”, “Enter sandman”, and “Don’t Stop Believing” 1980 Something kept the house rocking and the wall vibrating all night long.
