On September 8, western New York rockers Hair Nation brought their hair band music show to the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls for a rock and roll jam that featured some special guest performers including Jody Velletta of DoDriver, Todd Pembleton, and JB Aarons.
The band got the show started with the Poison song “Talk Dirty to Me”. Throughout the night the band played music by Wild Cherry, AC/DC, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Skid Row, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice in Chains, Buffalo Music Hall of Fame members Talas, Quiet Riot, Metallica, Ronnie James Dio, and Accept.
Living up to their name, there was plenty of hair flying around as the band performed “Play that Funky Music”, “Were Not Gonna Take It”, “You Shook Me All Night”, “Highway to Hell”, “Round and Round”, “Roadhouse Blues”, “Rock and Roll”, “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Sweet Child of Mine”, “Shout at the Devil”, “Looks that Kill”, “Dream On”, “18 and Life”, “Crazy Train”, “Bark at the Moon”, “Man in the Box” with Jody Velletta, “Sink Your Teeth”, “Metal Health” – the first song they performed as a band nearly 20 years ago, “For Whom the Bells Toll”, “Enter Sandman”, “Holy Diver”, and “Balls to the Wall”.
On September 8, Hair Nation rocked the walls of the Hard Rock Cafe where memorabilia from some of the artists they covered hangs upon the walls.
And a special thank you to Jody Velletta for helping with the song titles.
