Mother Nature has once again stepped in and has affected on track events at Charlotte Motor Speedway. After an early round of Monster Energy Cup Series practice was canceled, qualifying for the Xfinity Series Alsco 300 was delayed while officials dried the track.

For the first time in five weeks, there are Monster Energy Cup Series drivers on the track with the Xfinity Series drivers.

Forty three teams brought cars to Charlotte but there are only 40 spots in the race.

After three rounds of qualifying Brad Keselowski wins the pole with Cole Custer starting alongside on the front row.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three is 110 laps in length for a total of 200 laps around the mile and a half track.

Brad Keselowski brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane and gets ut in front for the lead.

Lap three the top five are Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Tyler Riddick, Chase Elliott, and Cole Custer.

Lap five, Brad Keselowski has pulled out to a one second lead on Kyle Busch with Chase Elliott in third, Tyler Reddick in fourth, and Cole Custer in fifth.

Lap eight, Brad Keselowski has a lead of over a second on Kyle Busch with Chase Elliott, Tyler Reddick and Brandon Jones rounding out the top five.

Lap 10 Brad Keselowski continues to lead the race with Kyle Busch nearly a second and a half behind; Chase Elliott, Tler Reddick, and Brandon Jones round out the top five.

Lap 17, Brad Keselowski’s lead is down to less than half a second over Kyle Busch with Chase Elliott in third over a second behind.

Lap 20 Brad Keselowski has led ever lap so far with Kyle Busch on his bumper in second.

The first caution flag of the race comes out on lap 22 when Brandon Hightower gets loose and spins out.

Brad Keselowski brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 27 but Kyle Busch edges out Keselowski to take over the lead of the race.

Lap 29 the top five are Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott, Brandon Jones, and Christopher Bell.

Lap 31, the top five are Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski, Christopher Bell, and Brandon Jones.

Lap 32, Kyle Busch has a lead of over a second on Chase Elliott with Brad Keselowski, Brandon Jones, and Christopher Bell rounding out the top five.

Ten to go in stage one and Kyle Busch has a lead of nearly two seconds on Chase Elliott.

Lap 39, Kyle Busch has a lead of over a second on Chase Elliott with Brandon Jones in third, Christopher Bell in fourth, and Justin Allgaier in fifth.

The three laps remaining in stage one, Brandon Jones has moved into the second spot behind Kyle Busch.

After a slow pit stop, Brad Keselowski restarts the race in 14th place.

Lap 55, the top five are Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Justin Allgaier, Brandonn Jones, and Cole Custer.

Lap 58, Kyle Busch has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second on Chase Elliott; Justin Allgaier, Brandon Jones, and Cole Custer round out the top five.

Lap 61, Kyle Busch has a one second lead on Chase Elliott.

Lap 68 Kyle Busch has pulled out to a lead of nearly two seconds on Chase Elliott with Brandon Jones in third, Cole Custer in fourth, and Justin Allgaier in fifth.

Lap 71, Kyle Busch has increased his lead to over two seconds on Chase Elliott with 21 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 75, Kyle Busch has a lead of nearly three seconds on Brandon Jones; with Chase Elliott, Cole Custer, and Justin Allgaier rounding out the top five.

The caution flag comes out on lap 78 when Garrett Smithley spins out. Not many drivers came down pit road with 12 laps remaining in stage two.

Tyler Reddick’s team was charged with having too many crew members over the pit wall and he will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Lap 83 Kyle Busch has a half second lead on the field with Cole Custer in second and Brandon Jones in third.

With five laps remaining in stage two Kyle Busch has a one second lead on Cole Custer.

Tommy Joe Martins has an issue with his car but gets it on pit road and the track stays green.

After staying out on the track Brad Keselowski brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 98 and edges out Tyler Reddick for the lead of the race.

Lap 100, the top five are Brad Keselowski, Cole Custer, Kyle Busch, Tyler Reddick, and Justin Allgaier.

Chase Elliott is on pit road with engine related issues.

Lap 101 Brad Keselowski and Cole Custer are out in front of the field and battling for the lead.

Lap 103 Cole Custer takes the lead.

Lap 106, Cole Custer has a one second lead on Brad Keselowski with Justin Allgaier in third, Kyle Busch in fourth, and Tyler Reddick in fifth.

Lap 108, Vinnie Miller brings out the caution flag when he spins out.

Cole Custer brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 112 and holds off Kye Busch to hold on to the lead.

Lap 113, the top five are Cole Custer, Justin Allgaier, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Christopher Bell.

Chase Elliott takes his car to the garage and is done for the day with a transmission issue. He said that the transmission was stuck between two gears.

Lap 116 Cole Custer holds on to the lead of the race by half a second on Justin Allgaier.

Ryan Reed hits the wall but the track stays green.

Lap 120, Cole Custer has pulled out to a lead of over a second on Justin Allgaier with Christopher Bell in third, Kyle Busch in fourth, and Brad Keselowski in fifth.

Lap 123, Cole Custer has increased his lead to nearly two seconds on Justin Allgaier.

Lap 127, NASCAR has displayed the caution flag for rain.

Cole Custer wins the race off of pit road. The drivers will still have to make one more pit stop for fuel.

Cole Custer brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 131 with Custer holding on to the lead.

During the pit stop, Ty Dillon was charged with an uncontrolled tire, Tyler Reddick was caught speeding on pit road, and Brad Keselowski had crew members come over the pit wall too soon.

Lap 132, Kyle Busch retakes the lead after passing Cole Custer; Jamie McMurray, Daniel Hemric, and Christopher Bell round out the top five.

Lap 135, Kyle Busch has a half second lead on Cole Custer with Daniel Hemric, Jamie McMurray, and Christopher Bell rounding out the top five.

With 62 laps remaining in the race, the drivers are getting aggressive and running three wide.

Lap 142 Kyle Busch has a lead of over half a second on Cole Custer with Daniel Hemric, Christopher Bell, and Brandon Jones rounding out the top five.

Lap 146 the caution flag come out when Josh Williams spun out and hit the wall after replacing Alex Labbe in the car.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 151 and holds off Cole Custer to stay in the lead; Jamie McMurray, Christopher Bell, and Elliott Sadler round out the top five.

Lap 154, Kyle Busch has a lead of nearly a second on Cole Custer with Christopher Bell in third.

The caution flag comes out when Tyler Reddick spins out and and hits the wall after an apparent flat tire.

The top five come down pit road for service.

Kyle Busch wins the race off of pit road but several drivers stayed out on the track which will put him back in traffic.

Daniel Hemric brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 161.

Kyle Busch brings out the caution flag after making contact with Dylan Lupton, running through the grass, and hitting the wall. Chase Briscoe is also involved in the crash.

Brad Keselowski is in the lead with Daniel Hemric, Brandon Jones, T Dillon, and Ryan Truex rounding out the top five.

Brad Keselowski brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 166 and holds on to the lead with Brandon Jones getting around Daniel Hemric for the lead.

Dylan Lupton brings out the caution flag after making contact with Ty Majeski after the drivers got four wide across the track.

As rain threatens the area, NASCAR keeps the caution flag out.

NASCAR displays the red flag with 28 laps remaining in the race and brings the cars down pit road.

After a rain delay of over an hour, the drivers return to the track.

Just as Keselowski was about to take the white flag, NASCAR threw the caution flag for debris on the track.

With a green/white/checker finish Brad Keselowski edges out Cole Custer for the win.
