It’s an All Star weekend for the Monster Energy Cup Series, but before the cars take to the track to shine, the Camping World Truck Series will get the weekend started off with the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

Todd Gillialnd turned 18 in the past week and can now race in all remaining CWTS events. Drivers must be 18 in order to race at tracks over one mile in length.

Mother Nature proved to be a major hindrance during the day with off and on rain showers. NASCAR would get the track dry and the rains would come again.

After several attempts to get the track dried, NASCAR officially canceled qualifying and the field was set by truck owner points with Points leader Johnny Sauter sitting on the pole.
