It’s the final night of the Blind Auditions on “The Voice”. Alicia, Kelly, and Blake all have eleven artists on their teams. Adam needs two artists to complete his team.
Last night Kelly used her block on Alicia after a singer sang one of Alicia’s songs. There are no more blocks for this season.
First eneration Cuban-American Genesis Diaz got the final night of auditions started but had to wait until the last note before Adam and Blake pushed their buttons. Alicia noted that her son’s name is also Genesis. Adam called her tremendous. Alicia said that Genesis was unique. Blake noted that he had only one spot left on his team and it would make him very happy to complete his team. Kelly said that Genesis nailed the song. Genesis chose Adam to be her coach.
Sharane Calister chose the Ed Sheeran song “Make it Rain” for her audition and got Alicia to push her button. Kelly joined Alicia at the last note of the song. Kelly said that she waited to the last moment because she was tired of being beaten by Alicia. Alicia called the performance powerful. Sharane chose Alicia to be her coach and with that Alicia’s team is full.
Dallas Caroline chose the Willie Nelson classic “Always on My Mind” for her audition. Kelly and Adam pushed their buttons, and finally Blake pushed his button. Adam said that the core of who Dallas is was there. Alicia said that Dallas had a beautiful performance. Kelly said that Dallas had a beautiful quality that is missing in Country music. Blake said that Dallas could be the next hero of Country music. After thanking all of the coaches for turning around, Dallas chose Blake to be her coach. Blake’s team is now full.
Allen Pride Bowser began singing in his grandmother’s church. He sang “What I Do for Love” but failed to impress Kelly or Adam enough to turn their chairs. Adam noted that the different version kind of messed with his head. Kelly liked what he did but wanted Allen to take it to the next level.
Jackie Verna calls herself a Country Pop artist; she chose the song “Peter Pan” for her audition and got Adam to push his button early in the song. After the performance Adam kept saying, “oh my god.” After giving Jackie a hug, Adam said that he has never been so excited for a one chair turn. Adam’s team is now full; only Kelly has a spot remaining on her team.
The final blind audition of season 14 Amber Sauer is a backup singer but is looking to step out in front. She sang the award winning Ed Sheeran song “Shape of You” for her audition but had to wait until the end of the song before Kelly pushed her button and filled out her team.
Next week the battles begin with mentor Shawn Mendes, Julia Michaels, Halee Steinfeld, and Trace Adkins giving the coaches a hand with the teams.
