With only three weeks remaining in the season, last week “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars” featured the biggest twist and shocking elimination of the season. RuPaul brought back the eliminated queens to compete against the remaining All Stars for a chance to audition as a Kitty Girl and allowed one of them to return.
Last week’s winner BenDeLaCreme chose to bring back Morgan McMIchaels but when it came time to eliminate one of her fellow queens, BenDeLaCreme shocked RuPaul – and the whole show – and chose to eliminate herself despite having won or been in the top nearly every challenge.
RuPaul walks into the workroom with U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and tells the queens that Pelosi is a strong woman who knows how to get things done. RuPaul adds that Pelosi is an advocate for the LGBTQ community.
Pelosi spoke on the power of casting votes.
This week’s challenge is a raunchy girl comedy film – “My Best Squirrelfriend’s Dragsmaids Wedding Trip”.
As the reuturning queen, Morgan gets to assign the roles for the film:
Sharon Frockovich – Trixie Mattel
The Queen – Bebe Zahara Benet
Actavia – Shangela
Beige Swan – Morgan McMichaels
Lala – Kennedy Davenport
Ross Matthews works with the queens on their roles.
Joining RuPaul at the judge’s table this week are Michelle Visage and Ross Matthews with special guest stars Garcelle Beauvais and Chris Colfer.
After the runway walk and playing the trailer for the film, the judges made their remarks.
Bebe was a vision on the runway but the judges wanted her to be bigger as The Queen.
The judges loved Shangela’s runway look. As director of the film Ross Matthews noted that he worked with Shangela the least adding he just sat back and watched the Shangela show and she nailed it.
Trixie’s runway look was everything. She was a lot of fun in the film. Noting that she is moving out of the box, the judges said it is paying off.
Kennedy’s acting was a one note attempt.
Morgan looked beautiful on the runway. Ross noted that the Beige Swan is the last role he would have chosen for her.
RuPaul announced that Shangela and Trixie were in the top two this week; adding that if you weren’t in the top, then you were in the bottom. Kennedy Davenport, Morgan McMichaels, and Bebe Zahara Benet are all facing elimination.
The lip sync performance this week is “”Freaky Money” by RuPaul.
Wearing a fat suit, Shangela rocked the stage and won the lip sync competition.
Shangela chose to eliminate Morgan McMichaels one week after she was chosen to return to the show.
Next week it’s the grand finale and a new All Star will be crowned.
Saying that the race has never been closer, RuPaul is asking the fans to chime in on their choices for the winner.
