On March 6 the NASCAR Hall of Fame revealed the drivers who are eligible for induction into the Hall in 2019.

A panel of members of NASCAR, the NASCAR Hall of Fame, track owners, and the media released a list of 20 nominees including five who are eligible for the first time. The list of nominees include drivers, car and engine builders, and car owners who have made significant contributions to the sport.

Five Hall of Fame inductees will be chosen from the list of 20 nominees.

Five nominees for the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR were also released. Barney Hall and Jim Hunter are first time nominees with Ralph Seagraves, Janet Guthrie and Alvin Hawkins are return nominees for the award.

The nominees for the 2019 class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame are:
Nineteen time race winner – including the Daytona 500 – Davey Allison
Nineteen time race winner – including the Daytona 500 and Southern 500 – Buddy Baker
Late Model Sportsman champion Red Farmer
Car owner, crew chief, and engine builder Ray Fox
Eighteen time race winner – including two Southern 500s – Harry Gant
NFL Hall of Fame Coach and car owner Joe Gibbs
Four time Cup champion – with 93 race wins – Jeff Gordon
Two time Cup champion and car owner John Holman
Cup champion and crew chief Harry Hyde
Cup champion Alan Kulwicki
Cup and Xfinity Series champion Bobby Labonte
NASCAR West Series champion Hershel McGriff
Two time Cup champion and car owner Ralph Moody
Four time champion car owner Roger Penske
The only five time Weekly Series National Champion Larry Phillips
Eight time Cup and Xfinity Series champion car owner Jack “The Cat in the Hat” Roush
Twenty-three time race winner – including the Brickyard 400 – Ricky Rudd
