In the final race of the 2018 Chili Bowl, of the 344 drivers who entered, it came down to a championship race of 24 drivers – three of whom are NASCAR drivers.

After pole sitter Kyle Larson had engine trouble, it came down to two time Chili Bowl champion Ricky Abreu and defending Chili Bowl champion Christopher Bell.

Bell won to hold on to take his second Chili Bowl Championship and the Golden Driller trophy.

Last year, the Camping World Truck Series driver started his year with a win at the annual Chili Bowl and then went on to win the Camping World Truck Series Championship. Bell is starting off his 2018 racing season in the same fashion.

NASCAR drivers Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Kasey Kahne, and Justin Allgaier also participated in the dirt Midget car Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bell will not be defending his Truck Series championship in the 2018 season, he has moved up to the Xfinity Series where he will be driving the number 20 car for Joe Gibbs Racing where he will vie for the Rookie of the Year Award and the Xfinity Series championship.
