On January 13 the BRIT Awards revealed the nominees for the 2018 awards ceremonies. British pop stars Dua Lipa topped the list of nominees with five, followed by Ed Sherran with four.
The ceremonies will take place in London at the O2 Arena on February 21. Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa, Stormzy, and the Foo Fighters are all scheduled to perform at the gala event.
Lipa is the only female nominee vying for the Album of the Year award.
Former One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Liam Payne are all competing for the Video of the Year award.
East London rapper J Hus, Liam Payne, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Stormzy, Little Mix, Calvin Harris with Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, and Big Sean;Clean Bandit with Zara Larsson, Loyle Carner, and Jonas Blue with William Single have all garneerd multiple nominations.
Jorja Smith was name the 2018 BRIT Critics Choice Award winner. Sam Smith, Ed Sherran, and Jessie J have all won the award and gone on to great success in music.
Steve Mac was named the Producer of the Year.
