The NASCAR Hall of Fame has announced the nominees for the 2027 class of potential Hall of Famers.

NASCAR’s Mike Helton surprised Kevin Harvick during the pre-race broadcast to announce that Harvick is among the nominees on his first year of eligibility.

Harvick joins Greg Biffle, Neil Bonnett, crew chief Tim Brewer, Jeff Burton, engine builder Ray Dorton, ARCA champion Ray Elder, crew chief Randy Elliott, Randy LaJoie, and Jack Sprague in the Modern Era category.

The Pioneer category features five nominees whose careers in NASCAR began over 60 years ago.

The 2027 Pioneer ballot nominees are:  mechanic Ray Fox, Harry Hyde, car builder Banjo Matthews, crew chief Herb Nab, and national champion Larry Phillips.

The Landmark Award is presented toa non-driver or crew member who has “made significant contributions to the growth and esteem of NASCAR.”  And the nominees are: NASCAR’s first flagman Alvin Hawkins, Lesa France Kennedy, Pocono Raceway founder Dr. Joseph Mattioli, Les Richter, and R.J. Reynolds executive T. Wayne Robertson.

The 2027 class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame will be selected in May by the Hall of Fame voting panel.

The fan vote opens April 14 and will end May 17.  Fans can cast their vote for whom they think belongs in the NASCAR Hall of Fame at www.nascar.com/halloffame.

Two nominees from the Modern Era and one nominee from the Pioneer Era will be selected; along with the Landmark Award winner.
