The list of entries for the Daytona 500 continues to grow and ensure a full field of 41 drivers.
The latest name on the list is Craftsman Truck Series champion Corey Heim who will be driving the number 67 car for 23XI Racing.
Heim is set to run a partial schedule this season. Heim’s primary sponsor for the race will be the financial company Robinhood. The finance and investment platform will also sponsor some of the races for the driver of the number 23 car Bubba Wallace this season.
Heim spoke on the attempt via a team statement saying, “it means a lot to me to have the opportunity to represent Robinhood again this season, and it’s extra special to do so at the Daytona 500. Coming off a great season last year, I’m excited to continue my growth as a driver and look forward to another successful year.”
Heim has signed with 23XI Racing – owned by basketball great Michael Jordan and driver Denny Hamlin – as the team’s first development driver.
Driving for Tricon Garage last season in the Craftsman Truck Series, Corey Heim dominated the season with 12 wins in 25 races. Heim has a total of 89 Truck Series starts with 23 career wins.
Heim is no stranger to the 2.5 mile track at Daytona International Speedway. He earned his first win of the season last year in the Truck Series at the iconic track and is hoping to repeat the feat; but driving a Cup Series car this time in his superspeedway debut.
