In his return to the hit musical “Hamilton” in his original role of Aaron Burr, Leslie Odom Jr helped set new records at the box office.
Next up for Odom is a tour, but his next project will take him from one legendary iconic figure of American history to an iconic figure in America’s music history – Sammy Davis Jr.!
Odom has agreed to write a new film where he will star as Davis; but not just any film…a horror film that will explore the relationship between the Church of Satan founder Anton Szandor LaVey and Sammy Davis Jr.
The script will stem from a 2024 “Rolling Stone” article by Alex Bhattacharji titled “Dance With the Devil”. Odom is collaborating with Rolling Stone Films for his first feature film writing debut.

A member of “The Rat Pack”, Sammy Davis Jr was a true “triple threat’ who could sing, dance, and act who worked his way from Vaudeville to Broadway with numerous film stops on the way.
