It’s the final race of the 2025 season and a new champion will be crowned by the end of the race.  Eleven time race winner this season Corey Heim, Kaden Honeycutt, Ty Majeski, and Tyler Ankrum will all be racing to be crowned the 2025 Truck Series champion.

Just 34 teams have brought trucks to Phoenix Raceway for the championship race.

After 26 years, three time champion Matt Crafton is running his final race as a full time driver.

The first driver on the track to make a qualifying run is Greg van Alst who posted a time of 28.607 seconds around the one mile track.

Caleb Costner did not make a qualifying run.

Matt Mills aborts his qualifying run with an engine issue.

Rajah Caruth is the first driver to break the 27 second mark with a time of 26.850 seconds.

Layne Riggs’ number 34 truck has had some issues getting his truck through the inspection process.  They added a piece to the oil pan that was not allowed.  As a result, he has lost his crew chief and truck chief for the race, will have to start the race from the back of the field, and serve a pass through penalty once the green flag drops.

With a time of 26.707 seconds Layne Riggs put his number 34 truck on the pole but will have to start the race from the back of the field.  Chandler Smith will start alongside on the front row.

Stages one and two of the race are 45 laps each with stage three lasting 60 laps for a total of 150 laps around the one mile track.

Pole sitter Layne Riggs drops to the back of the field after inspection issues putting Brent Crews on the front row beside Chandler Smith.  Chandler Smith edges out for the lead as the drivers get three wide.

Dawson Sutton brings out the caution flag when he gets into the wall on lap one.  Daniel Hemric was also involved int the incident.

Kaden Honeycutt jumped the start of the race and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Tyler Ankrum comes down pit road before it was open and will have to restart the race form the back of the field.

Chandler Smith brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap seven with Brent Crews alongside.  Drivers spread out three and four wide on the restart.  Chandler Smith gets out in front for the lead.

Lap eight, the top five are Chandler Smith, Rajah Caruth, Corey Heim, Brent Crews, and Ty Majeski.

Daniel Hemric and Dawson Sutton are out of the race.

Lap 10, Corey Heim passes Rajah Caruth for second.

Lap eleven, Chandler Smith has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second on Corey Heim.

With the race starting earlier than before, the setting sun is a big issue for the drivers.

Lap 14, Corey Heim is closing the gap on leader Chandler Smith and is now just a quarter of a second back; Brent Crews, Ty Majeski, and Rajah Caruth round out the top five.

Corey Heim has led over 1,500 laps just this season.  He has led in every race so far this season and does not have a DNF (did not finish) all season.

Lap 19, after restarting from the back of the field, Kaden Honeycutt is just outside the top 10 in 12th place.

Brent Crews has moved up right behind Corey Heim.

Lap 22, Corey Heim passes Chandler Smith for the lead.  He now has at least one lap led in all 25 of the Truck Series races this season.

Lap, 24, the top five are Corey Heim, Brent Crews, Chandler Smith, Ty Majeski, and Rajah Caruth.

Corey Heim has pulled out to a lead of over half a second on Brent Crews.

There are 27 trucks on the lead lap.

Kaden Honeycutt is nw in the top 10 in eighth place.

Since giving up the lead, Chandler Smith has fallen through the field and is now one lap down with a loose tire.

With 13 laps remaining in stage one, Corey Heim has a lead of over a second on Brent Crews; Ty Majeski, Rajah Caruth, and Tanner Gray round out the top five.  Kaden Honeycutt is in eight place.  Layne Riggs is just outside the top 20 in 21st.

Just eight laps remain in stage one and Corey Heim has a lead of over twos seconds on Brent Crews.

Lap 140, Layne Riggs has entered the top  20.

With five laps remaining in stage one, all four of the championship four drivers are in the top 15.

Drivers come down pit road for service with Rajah Caruth just edging out Corey Heim to win the race off of pit road.

Rajah Caruth brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two with Corey Heim alongside on lap 55.  Drivers fan out four and five wide in the dog leg with Corey Heim taking the lead.

Lap 58, there are 22 trucks on the lead lap with Corey Heim leading the way. and a half lead on Ty Majeski; Brent Crews, Rajah C

Lap 60, Corey Heim has a second aruth, and Kaden Honeycutt round out the top five.

Lap 68, Corey Heim has pulled out to a lead of over a second and a half on Ty Majeski; Brent Crews, Kaden Honeycutt, and Rajah Caruth round out the top five.  Three of the four playoff drivers are in the top five.

Layne Riggs has entered the top 10.

Lap 76, halfway, Corey Heim has a lead of over a second and a half on Ty Majeski; Brent Crews, Kaden Honeycutt, and Rajah Caruth round out the top five.

Lap 82, Corey Heim’s lead is down to under a second as Ty Majeski slowly closes the gap on the leader; Brent Crews, Kaden Honeycutt, and Rajah Caruth round out the top five.  Pole sitter Layne Riggs is just outside the top five in seventh.

Lap 103, the top five are Corey Heim, Ty Majeski, Brent Crews, Kaden Honeycutt, and Rajah Caruth.

Lap 105, Layne Riggs and Rajah Caruth battle for fifth.

Lap 107, Corey Heim has a lead of nearly a second and a half on Ty Majeski; Brent Crews, Kaden Honey, and Layne Riggs round out the top five.

Bren Crews passes Ty Majeski for second.

The caution flag comes out on lap 111 when Clayton Green gets slideways on the track with a heavily smoking truck.

Some of the drivers come down pit road for service; leaders stay out.

Corey Heim brings the field down for the green flag restart with Brent Crews alongside on lap 118.  Drivers spread out with drivers having to avoid Brent Crews.

The caution flag comes out on lap 119 for a crash involving Ben Rhodes, Andres Perez, Bayley Currey, and Gio Ruggiero.  Andres Perez got airborne before hitting the wall.

NASCAR has red flagged the race.

Of the 120 laps run so far, Corey Heim has led 91 of them.

After a red flag condition of over 10 minutes the yellow flag is displayed and the drivers are moving once again.

A few drivers come down pit road for fresh tires and adjustments.

Corey Heim brings the field down for the green flag restart with just 27 laps remaining in the race with Ty Majeski alongside.  Drivers spread out across the track.  Corey Heim holds on to the lead.

The top five are Corey Heim, Ty Majeski, Kaden Honeycutt, Layne Riggs, and Jaje Garcia.

Lap 125, Layne Riggs passes Kaden Honeycutt for third.

Layne Riggs passes Ty Majeski for second.

With 24 laps remaining in the race, Layne Riggs passes Corey Heim for the lead; going from last to first.

Just 17 laps to go, Layne Riggs leads the race with Corey Heim in second; Ty Majeski, Kaden Honeycutt, and Jake Garcia round out the top five.

There are only 18 trucks on the lead lap.

Just 14 laps to go, Layne Riggs has a lead of over half a second on Corey Heim.

Ten to go, Layne Riggs leads the race with Corey Heim in second; Ty Majeski, Kaden Honey, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.

Layne Riggs is no longer in competition for the driver’s championship, but his 34 truck is in competition for the owner’s championship.

With seven laps to go, Layne Riggs has a lead of over half a second on Corey Heim.

The caution flag comes out with just three laps remaining in the race when Connor Mosack gets into the wall.  Prior to the caution flag, NASCAR posted the 81 truck for a smoking truck.  NASCAR officials has called Mosack, his crew chief, and spotter to the NASCAR hauler after the race.

The race goes into overtime!

Most of the field comes down pit road for fresh tires.  Several of the teams took only two tires.

After staying out on the track, Stefan Parsons and Cole Butcher bring the field down for the green flag shootout to end the race.  Layne Riggs and Corey Heim in ninth and tenth are the first drivers to take four tires.  Drivers are spread out five wide up front.  Ty Majeski has the lead with Corey Heim in second.

The caution flag comes out for a wreck involving Cole Butcher leaking fluid, Tanner Gray, Tyler Ankrum, and Grant Enfinger.

The race will go into a second overtime.

The race has been red flagged for a second time to get the track cleaned up.

Before the caution flag came out the front row was seven trucks wide!

The yellow flag is out and Ty Majeski brings the field down for the second overtime shootout with Corey Heim alongside.  Majeski and Heim go side by side with Heim getting out in front.
