As children, we are guided and influenced by the parental units in our lives. But as we grow older and become exposed to the world around us, we begin to form our own thoughts and beliefs.
I have come to realize that as a child I lived a very sheltered life where little was said about the world.
But nothing will make you change your mind or opinion better than a real life experience.
Like all school children I learned about elections and the right to vote; but I have never had much of an interest in politics.
Like every teenager, when the day came that I was old enough to vote; I took my place in line to cast my vote.
But as time passed, I became more and more disillusioned with the process.
I take major exception with politicians who would campaign with promise after promise, only to discover that once they get into office all the promises disappear.
I no longer bother with the voting process because I refuse to aid in putting a person in office just so they can play the “what’s in it for me” game.
The current White House administration and governing bodies are prime examples of this practice. I am not sure there is a single person in Congress, the White House, or even SCOTUS that actually fulfills the job description of “serving the people” and “defends the Constitution” as the oath they take states.
Admittedly, I don’t know a great deal of politicians personally, but there are a very, very few that I have met that I would support.
If I ever lied to get a job, I would end up in jail, politicians get elected!

Indeed! 👍
