What’s your favorite word?
It is probably pretty obvious my now that I have a big thing for music. I grew up in a musical household with a Classically trained Dad.
I am far from a professional musician, but dabble when I can…in the privacy of my own home.
But I love music and have it playing all the time. I have an ipod in my bedroom set on continuous play in shuffle mode. There are something like 3,000 songs on there. Funny how it plays Barry Manilow songs every couple of songs :).
When I take a shower, I take my phone and play tunes while I bathe. Years ago there was a television commercial for Calgon with a lady in the tub; its tag line was Calgon take me away. All I need is a warm shower and some tunes. 🙂
My brain seems to work better when I writing when there is music playing.
I once did an interview with an artist named Ari Gold and I said “music is the greatest drug in the world…and best of all its free.” Ari added, “and it isn’t bad for you!”.
There is music for any and every occasion, feeling, or moment in life. And no matter what mood you are in, there is some piece or pieces of music that will fit the bill; whether you are upset, sad, need to sing and dance, or just chill out. Its’ also great for helping to calm the nerves in anxious situations.
Music is a great word! Unoffensive, non-political, and universal.
A true universal language!
