Hall of Fame driver and Xfinity Series JR Motorsports team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr is a true hands on owner ready to do whatever job needs to be done for his drivers.

This weekend Junior will make his debut as a crew chief for the number 88 car driven by Connor Zilisch.

Regular crew chief Mardy Lindley was suspended for one race after post-race inspection at Nashville Superspeedway found two lug nuts improperly secured.  The team was fined $10,000 and Lindley was suspended but NASCAR deferred the suspension until after the race in Mexico City where Zilisch sat on the pole.

A member of the broadcast crew for Prime Video, Junior is free on Saturday and will be making his debut as a crew chief.  He has never sat on top of the pit box in any of the three NASCAR racing series.

This weekend will also be the debut on the Tricky triangle for the 18 year old Zilisch who has earned his way to the playoffs this season with a win at COTA.

Junior is a two-time Pocono winner in the Cup Series.
