The Korean boy band BTS has been on hiatus in order for each of the band’s members serve their mandatory military service.  In South Korea every able bodied male must serve two years in the military by the time they reach age 30.

While exemptions are allowed for certain instances for athletes, musicians, and dancers if they have won a prestigious prize, but pop stars are not on the list of exemptions.

With the final member of the group set for his release from service shortly, the seven band members are looking to reunite and continue spreading the joy of music.

RM and V were released last week; Jin and J-Hope, were the first to enter military service and earned their release papers last year.  Jimin and Jung Kook will earn their release next week with Suga – who is fulfilling his mandatory service as a social service agent is scheduled to earn his release next month.  Suga is the final member of the group to complete his service; the guys are looking for a reunion some time this year.

Some excited fans traveled from around the globe to meet RM and V last week when they had completed their military service and are eagerly awaiting the reunion and release of new music.
