I try not to complain if I can because I get irritated when I am around people who do nothing more than complain.
But I do have a few pet peeves…
Over the past several years it seems that common sense and the ability to think things through have disappeared. Just throwing out remarks on social media without thinking leads to great misunderstanding.
On occasion, I have been known to make some comments on social media, but I think it through before I do. More than once, I have had people make comments which were obvious that they did not think before they responded.
I saw a headline earlier that noted school children have fallen further behind other nations in math and reading. I would add thinking things through as well – critical thinking.
Often when I read remarks on social media, the phrase “better to keep quiet and let people think you a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
And why is it that when a favoured sports team or race car driver does not win the game; fans immediately start posting accusations of cheating – shouting it from the rooftops so to speak. Social media has been overloaded with shouts of cheating over recent football games. There are even unsubstantiated stories flying around that officials have been fired and games will be replayed.
There is nothing worse than continually repeating false information!
I live in snow country…it gets COLD here. An 85 degree day is a scorcher around here. But why is that people find it necessary to complain about the cold and then the same people will complain about the heat. What’s up with that???
I also have some major pet peeves when it comes to politics and the goings on in Washington D.C.; but that subject is a VERY slippery slope and I intend to avoid it…as the saying goes, “like the plague”.
