African music star Dobet Gnahore combines the rhythms of Africa with the modern world to create her own style of music which is evident on her most recent album “Zouzou” (Angel in French).   She finds motivation in the struggling children of her native continent and is using her new album to launch a new orphanage project in Cote d’Ivoire.

Much more than just a singer and songwriter, Gnahore is also a dancer and percussionist.  She combines them all to bring a powerful stage presence to her performances.

In 2010, she won a Grammy Award for her collaboration with India.Arie for the Best Urban Alternative Performance.

In the coming months, Gnahome will be embarking on a tour with dates in Australia, Europe, and North America.
