I am at the age where I could care less about fashion…but then again I was never a slave to the latest styles.
I like my clothes loose and comfortable.
I am as girly as they come; the daintier and frillier the outfit, the more I like it. I hat large gaudy patterns. I love delicate designs, full skirts, and puffy sleeves.
But when the weather turns cold, I practically live in flannel. A cotton fabric, flannel is soft and comfortable…and WARM in the chilly temps. Whether it be a long flannel nightgown or a flannel shirt and skirt; they help to chase away the cold.
I want sleeves on my tops and hems below my knees; because as a neighbour once said, I don’t like to show off my nakedness. 🙂 I don’t own a pair of pants because I don’t feel comfortable wearing them. And nearly all of my skirts have been made, not store bought, so I can put elastic in the waistband – the better to adjust it when needed.
And on my feet??? Moccasins! All my shoes are one form of moccasins, depending on the weather. While my mucklucks are not specifically a moccasin; they were made by the Manitoba Nation. But, I love my Minnetonka’s from short to knee high boots.
