More times than I can count, a “feeling” in my gut has told me that something was about to go wrong. And I have felt it too many times to ignore it.
My mother used to swear that my Dad was psychic because he seemed to know what was going to happen. But I think it was more about being observant and paying attention to things.
Most of my “psychic” predictions surround events on television where I could “guess” from previous events.
But sometimes that “gut feeling” is more of a reaction to an encounter with someone. There are people who upon a first meeting, things just don’t “feel” right. The energy is all wrong.
I recently made a remark about things being “all wrong” after an encounter and a friend asked me what I meant. While I couldn’t put exact words to it, it just “felt” wrong; the “vibe” was bad.
As humans, we all have “feelings” that whether we realize it or not, guide our lives and decisions.
The Vulcans may have found a way to bury their feelings and depend on logic; but more than logic is required; whether we want to admit it or not, feelings and intuition are necessary to humanity’s survival.
As I grow older, I fid myself depending more on those “gut feeling” and my intuitions.
