As the days until the musical “Wicked” hits the “big screen” as a Hollywood release, fans are flocking to see the theatrical production on Broadway.  Not only did the musical top the list on the Milliam Dollar Club; the show is the only one that brought in over $2 million.  The show has topped the list on the Million Dollar Club for 12 of the past 14 weeks.

With 17 of the 37 productions currently running on Broadway, box office receipts were up 10 percent last week.  Over 300,000 theater fans flocked to Broadway and brought in over $36 million at the box office.

In the 90 percent club, 21 productions made it into the club with the top five reaching or topping the 100 percent mark.  “Elf” made the list after only two preview shows.
