Loose tires were an issue for the drivers in the Xfinity and Cup Series races at Kansas last weekend. A number of drivers made extra trips sown pit road to have lug nuts tightened.
In this week’s penalty report, NASCAR fined two teams in the Xfinity Series for not having all of their lug nuts properly secured during post race inspection.crew chief Adam Wall for the JR Motorsports number nine car driven by Brandon Jones and Kevin Walter, crew chief for the number97 Kaulig Racing care driven by Shane van Gisbergen were each fined $5,000 for the infraction.
There were no other penalties from the Kansas race last week.
